To keep my vox alive... books n' stuff
Ok I am so incredibly inconsistent with my blog, so here's a post to keep it in existence!
My internet presence has decreased a lot lately - I'm finding that with all my studying and working I'm starting to have a general hatred of being at the computer that impacts on my leisure internet activities.
Update on books:
I am utterly addicted to Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle Series (A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels and The Sweet Far Thing). Neh, my long-time friend and also member of RBC has been recommending it to me for ages and lent me copies of all the books "it's far superior to Twilight" she kept telling me. I don't know if one is better than the other because they're so different, but I'm definately hooked with this series. I'm up to the third and final book now. A Great and Terrible Beauty was good, but there were parts I thought could have been stronger, Rebel Angels was a lot better in comparisson. But yes I recommend them to everyone! They're basically about a group of girls at a boarding school just outside of London in the 1800's and their connections to other realms, their friendships and their involvement with The Order. I find the characters more multi-layered and interesting in comparisson to the Twilight series. I don't really like the cover of The Sweet Far Thing as much as the other books.
