QotD: Born in a Different Time
If you could choose any time period in which to have been born, which one would you pick?
Submitted by L33tchica.Definatley the 1920's. I just love the hair, the clothes, the fashion, the red lipstick, the pearls, the jazz music. I would have liked to have been a young adult in that decade. I always enjoy books and movies set in the 1920's, especially The Great Gatsby which is one of my all time favourite books.
Other than that I think the 60's and 70's in Britain and America would have been interesting times to live through with the cultural stuff going on there. And of course the 1800's to early 1900's are fascinating, but I'm not sure I'd like the hard life of actually living through them.
When it comes down to it though, in all these periods women had a significantly different place in society than what they do now, and I'm not sure I'd choose to live then and have my freedom and rights diminished.
